When a new learner attempts to learn a new type of framework, they must always consider some different aspects of that framework such as their overview, ease of learning, performance, adaptation, popularity, sustainability and framework evaluation.
This post will be a review of what people should choose when learning, as well as the benefits and drawbacks of Angular, React, and Vue.
We all know that Angular is developed by Google , where React is developed by Facebook and Vue is developed by a single person. Now they have a stand alone team of collaboration.
Angular is a front-end framework with numerous components, services, and tools. According to the Angular website, Angular is “the modern web developer’s platform.” React, on the other hand, is classified as a user interface library. They describe themselves as a “JavaScript library for developing user interfaces.” Facebook developers created and maintained this library. React is used to create the majority of Facebook’s products in this case. Last but not least, Vue.js describes itself as “a progressive JavaScript framework.”.
Angular:
In terms of Angular, we can say that it is a large framework
- That has many features such as send, validation, routing, and request. Overall, Angular has a very rich built in feature where users can get everything built in.
- Rather than being referred to as a framework, it is better described as a platform because its echo system includes additional tools such as an interface for managing and creating projects.
- The ability to easily add any progressive web app support, and much more.
React:
React is very simple and focuses on creating user interfaces. It’s more of a library than a framework, as it’s declared as such on its official website.
- For larger projects where users may require routes, applications with multiple sites must search from community-managed packages to add various types of features.
Whereas Angular includes everything, React users must rely on community packages.
Vue:
Vue is simply a frontend framework that focuses on the core features that everyone requires while developing the web frontend of any software.
- It includes management solutions that are somewhere between Angular and React.
- They also require some form of validation, which is managed by the community, which they do not currently have built in.
Components:
These three frameworks have several similarities, including a component-based architecture and the ability to create UI features quickly. While React and Vue.js are mostly declarative, Angular is actually more imperative. Nonetheless, they differ in terms of structure, architecture, and working methods.
- Components are the fundamental UI building blocks in Angular. They have different types of components:
- They all have a TypeScript class, HTML templates or tags, and CSS..
- They are known as directives because they not only track but also attach specific elements to the UI, all of which are known as DOM elements.
- React combines component UI and behavior in an unusual way. Components are more substantial building blocks for React applications.
- Those components enable users to deconstruct the user interface into separate, reusable components.
- The same components in React are responsible for creating a UI element and dictating its behavior.
- They accept arbitrary props and return React elements describing what should be displayed on the screen.
- Vue.js has a straightforward structure. They also contain different components like React and Angular.
- All pieces in Vue.js are intended to be self-contained, reusable components, with UI and behavior included to make things more interactive.
- Vue is highly customizable, users can combine the UI and behavior of components from within a script.
Working with Angular, React and Vue:
All the frameworks are about building user interfaces to make it easy. They choose to build the entire UI/UX with some reusable components.
- Angular requires a more complex setup because it cannot directly import anything into any webpage and must also use TypeScript.
- They have strict separation between HTML and TypeScript, so no one needs to learn a new mixture
but learners may need to learn some special instructions to add some HTML and JavaScript.
- React is in both JavaScript & TypeScript:
- it does not require complex syntax, but it does require the installation of JsX.
- it requires a de-facto setup that includes both JavaScript and JsX.
As a result, users must learn Merges of various JavaScript and HTML combinations.
- In comparison to Angular and React, Vue is simple to learn.
- Users do not always require a complex setup for any larger project.
- If users prefer, they can use JavaScript alongside TypeScript in Vue.
- They also keep HTML and JavaScript separate, as does Angular.
Performance:
When compared to performance one can’t just compare frameworks with just a “HelloWorld” app with other bigger applications. They need to see startup performance along with run time performance. As any framework or application can show good performance in “HelloWorld” app but can do a terrible performance on bigger projects.
- While comparing startup performance we always need to know:
- how fast the web application loads ,
- how interactive the application is.
The application will also be primarily influenced by the initial bundle size.
- When evaluating run time performance, users should consider :
- how fast the application reacts to user input.
- how quickly the application runs in the browser.
The owner’s code, as well as the framework code, will have the most influence here.
We’d like to emphasize that determining which one is faster isn’t the only way to solve application performance problems. In fact, maintaining a high level of development quality and adhering to quality standards is more important.
Popularity:
There are several methods for determining the popularity of a technology or framework. Several sources can be used to determine how popular each one is in these areas: Google searches, npm downloads, Github stars, applications built with each framework, and the most popular technology are all available.
- Google Search: If we take google search statistics to measure which framework is more popular in users we can not determine or measure the actual number as in different regions different frameworks are more popular. For example:
- In the Indian region Angular is more popular than React or Vue.
- On the other hand, React is more popular in the USA.
- Whereas Vue is mainly used in China.
- Npm trends: If we take a look at npm trends we can find that last year one of the most downloaded frameworks was React.
- Github Stars: If we look up to Github stars maximum stars are for Vue then its React then its Angular.
Each and every framework has their own popularity and job done advantages in different aspects. So, only depending on one framework’s popularity no one should choose what they want to learn.
FrameWork Evaluation:
All the frameworks are stable but under active development.
- Framework evolving step by step.
- New features are evolving and added over time to time.
- Existing features can be removed if needed in future.
We benefit from faster and more powerful frameworks as they evolve, and the evaluation is slow enough to leave no one behind.
- Every six months, a new version of the Angular framework is released, but every program is supported for the latest evolution.
- In React they don’t have any schedule for new development, But for every evaluation they added some amazing features for users.
- For Vue.js their team is working on a new version.
Furthermore, each of the three frameworks has an active community that provides a wealth of documentation, support, and courses. They are all fairly comparable in terms of performance. Each of these libraries has benefits and drawbacks. Depending on the project and your individual requirements, one of these will be more appropriate than the others.
